ReturnReference Explanation
Part I, Line 2: As part of the grant approval process for unaffiliated organizations, international grant funding is reviewed and approved by relevant ADF and ADFI leadership. When the organization approves a grant, the funds are retained by ADF and set aside to be used exclusively in furtherance of the grant request. Distributions are made pursuant to a written invoice and report demonstrating evidence of expenses actually incurred, time actually invested in furtherance of the goals supported by the grant, and a report as to the activities performed and goals achieved. Grants to ADF affiliates are given according to ADF board-approved budgets with full reporting as to how the funds are used and the results that are achieved.
