PART I, LINE 2: GRANTS TO OUTSIDE ORGANIZATIONS ARE INITIALLY REVIEWED BY A SPECIAL NCBE SUB-COMMITTEE. THE COMMITTEE REVIEWS AND DISCUSSES GRANT REQUESTS AND MAKES RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE NCBE BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR FINAL APPROVAL. UPON APPROVAL, AN AGREEMENT IS DRAWN UP WHICH STATES THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE GRANT, INCLUDING DELIVERABLES AND PAYMENT TIMING. THE NCBE DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION COMMITTEE MONITORS PROGRESS OF THE GRANT PROGRAMS AND REPORTS TO THE NCBE BOARD OF TRUSTEES. GRANTS ARE MADE TO INDIVIDUALS FOR RESEARCH RELATED TO BAR EXAMINATIONS AND BAR ADMISSIONS. INTERIM PAYMENTS ARE MADE TO RECIPIENTS, BUT ONLY AFTER INTERIM RESEARCH REPORTS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED, REVIEWED AND APPROVED. FINAL PAYMENT IS MADE AFTER THE FINAL RESEARCH REPORT IS RECEIVED, REVIEWED AND APPROVED.
